Plum Pudding Sauce
From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at www.dorothymcnett.com. This is a favorite from my Aunt Louise Childs. This is wonderful poured over any steamed pudding.
3 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 cup boiling water
Combine alll ingredients and cook gently for a few minutes. Serve on steamed "suet" puddings or on fruit with pound cake.
