Green Salad for Asados
From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at www.dorothymcnett.com. This is a tossed green salad with the addition of vanilla in the dressing...it is a perfect match for the famous Argentina barbecued beef steak dinners.
salad greens, fresh and spun dry
other mixed vegetables, as desired
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
freshly ground peppercorns
1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
Prepare the greens, using a variety of salad green. Place in a large bowl. In a glass measuring cup, whisk together the remaining ingredients and toss into the greens.
