You can cook this in a heavy bottomed stock pot for about 60-70 minutes instead of the microwave, if desired. Equally wonderful! 2 1/2 cups good quality chicken broth Combine everything except for the cream and the lime in a 4 quart glass or ceramic casserole, or the clay pot. Microwave, covered, 12 minutes on full power, then reduce power to simmer and microwave for 40 minutes, or until lentils are tender.
