Midwestern Cole Slaw

1 small head cabbage, shredded
1/2 onion, shredded
1 carrot, shredded
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon four
1/2 to 1 teaspoon good quality dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon Sweet Hungarian Paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
Combine cabbage, onion, and carrot in salad bowl and chill. Combine remaining ingredients in batter bowl and whisk well. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Whisk well. Microwave another 2-3 minutes, or until thickened. Pour over the cabbage mixture and chill.
